I use the K-lite on a camera mounted noga arm and powered it from the camera “D-tap” for both outdoor and indoor filming. The K-lite provides a very powerful long reaching daylight balanced fill for very low power battery operation, much more powerful and efficient than adding a blue gel to a halogen lamp and much cheaper than HMI solutions. The built in orange filter converts the light for indoor use with very little effect to the light output and the diffuser works well when the subject is close to the camera. 

There are some lighting situations where the combination of a Gekko ringlight and the wireless control unit is the only solution. If you need a creative and controllable light source on a moving camera, look no further. It works flawlessly.
